REPORT OF TPO’S PROJECT ‘OPERATION UNCHAIN’

TPO’s project ‘Operation Unchain’, was initiated in February 2015 by the King of Cambodia during his inauguration visit to TPO’s clinic. It supports rural families of mentally ill patients with very little or no access to mental health services and shows them other options than chaining and locking in a cage or in the house. TPO has registered with GlobalGiving to raise more fund for this project. TPO’S BENEFICIARIES SPREAD MESSAGES ABOUT PREVENTING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE!

TPO’S BENEFICIARIES SPREAD MESSAGES ABOUT PREVENTING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE! As part of the 16-day Campaign from 25 November to 10 December 2015 to End Violence Against Women. TPO’s team has initiated for beneficiaries in a community project in Battambang province to speak out about what they want to appeal to End Violence Against Women: Ms Ly Keang, a member of one of TPO’s community Self Help Groups, who has experienced intimate partner violence wants to appeal “PLEASE TAKE SERIOUSLY ACTION AGAINST VIOLENT PERPETRATORS”. Her daughter also declared, “ I WANT MY PARENTS NOT TO ARGUE AND TO REBUILD A GOOD RELATIONSHIP WITH EACH OTHER” including more messages from other women asking to stop domestic violence:  “WE NEED EQUAL RIGHTS IN SOCIETY”, “NO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE”, “SHOULD EDUCATE PERPETRATORS TO STOP DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.
