Basic Bio-Psychosocial Interventions for Vulnerable Children
Working directly with vulnerable children within an organization or in the community, requires specialized skills and knowledge. In 3 blocks of 3, 4 and 5 days respectively, this 12-day course will expand your knowledge and skills enabling you to more effectively support vulnerable children.
What is this course about?
Caring for or working with vulnerable children, such as those that have been orphaned, are living on the streets, have been abused or trafficked, or have a disability or serious illness, requires specialized skills and knowledge. This course will equip you with the skills and knowledge required to respond effectively to these children’s specific needs, help them deal with their challenges and support them in their development.

- live in abusive environments?
Note that course participants will be required to …
- do some assignment work and practice the learnings from each block during their day-to-day work with children
- submit assignments and case studies as well as present their learnings to the group
Practicalities
Duration: 12 days (spread over several months, in blocks of 3,4 and 5 days respectively)

Venue: TPO’s Training Room at the TPO office, Phnom Penh Thmey.
Group size: 17 participants maximum.
Cost: 600 USD per person (including all material, refreshments & lunch).
A 10% discount applies to organizations enrolling a minimum of 4 people.
Language: Khmer
Certification: can be provided to those who complete all requirements.
